System Requirements
The OS version alone is not sufficient. Hardware that supports Apple Intelligence is also required. Please check before purchasing.
iOS 26 or later, or iPadOS 26 or later, is required. We recommend installing the latest version available for your device to receive current functionality, security, and translation quality. Operation on beta versions of an OS is not guaranteed.
An iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence is required. Compatible devices include iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and supported iPhone 16 series or later models. On iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and earlier devices without Apple Intelligence, some or all major features may be unavailable.
A supported iPad mini with A17 Pro, or an iPad with M1 or later Apple silicon, is required. Dynamic Island is not available on iPad.
Proofreading and certain other features require Apple Intelligence to be enabled, compatible device and Siri languages, downloaded on-device models, and sufficient free storage. Basic translation remains available while Apple Intelligence is disabled.
Basic translation requires the relevant language data to be downloaded to the device. An internet connection and sufficient storage may be required during initial setup, when adding languages, or after an OS update.
Dynamic Island is available only on compatible iPhone models equipped with that feature. Live Activities and the necessary system settings must be enabled. Other supported features remain available on compatible devices without Dynamic Island.
Privacy Policy
Keeping your words on your device whenever possible is a core principle of isLingo.
isLingo limits information handling to what is necessary to provide its features. Your input, translations, proofreading results, and translation history are generally processed and stored on your device and are not sent to a server operated by the developer.
We process text you enter or explicitly paste, selected languages, translations, and proofreading results. Basic translation uses Apple's Translation framework, while proofreading uses Apple's Foundation Models framework.
Translation history, source and translated text, proofreading results, favorites, selected languages, appearance, onboarding status, usage counts, and other settings are stored in the app's on-device App Group container or UserDefaults. Recent history may be shared with the Live Activity and widget extensions.
Clipboard text is read only when you choose a paste action and is used for the requested translation or proofreading. The app does not continuously monitor your clipboard in the background.
The current version does not provide a visible flow for starting image translation from the camera or photo library. If this feature is offered in the future, the app will first request iOS permission and will process only images you capture or select, on your device. Permissions can be changed in Settings.
isLingo uses the App Store and RevenueCat to process, verify, and restore isLingo Pro purchases. The developer does not receive credit card numbers or other payment credentials. Purchase receipts, product identifiers, an anonymous app user identifier, entitlement status, and device or app information may be processed as needed to manage purchases.
The current version does not include an advertising SDK or a separate analytics SDK. The developer does not track users across third-party apps or websites.
The developer does not sell or disclose personal information to third parties except where required by law, with your consent, or where processing is entrusted to Apple, RevenueCat, or another provider necessary to operate the app. Each external provider's own terms and privacy policy apply.
On-device history is retained until you delete it or the app's or device's storage is erased. You can delete history from within the app. Purchase records may be retained by Apple or RevenueCat in accordance with their policies and applicable law.
For requests concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or other privacy matters, contact shirohebi.i@icloud.com. We may request limited additional information to verify your identity or identify the relevant data. The developer cannot access or delete information that exists only on your device and is not held by the developer.
We use data minimization, on-device processing, and protections provided by the operating system and relevant SDKs. However, we cannot guarantee complete security against loss of a device, jailbreaking or modification, unauthorized third-party use, or defects in an OS or external service.
This policy may be revised in response to changes in law, app functionality, or external services. Material changes will be announced through this page or a reasonable in-app method, and consent will be obtained where required by law.
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern use of isLingo, provided by Yoshiki Nitta (新田喜紀) (the “Developer”). You may use the app only after agreeing to these Terms and any conditions presented in the app.
The Developer grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to use the app on a compatible device for your own private use. No ownership or intellectual property rights in the app or related content are transferred to you.
isLingo assists with text translation, proofreading, history storage, text-to-speech, Live Activities, and related functions. The latest in-app descriptions govern available features, supported languages, usage limits, Pro benefits, and other service details.
You are responsible for providing and maintaining, at your own cost, a compatible device and OS, Apple Intelligence settings, language data, storage, and connectivity. Even when stated requirements are met, features may be unavailable because of region, language, or availability determined by Apple or another provider.
Translations, proofreading, speech, and other results may contain mistranslations, omissions, awkward wording, or other errors. Do not rely solely on the app for medical, legal, financial, safety, emergency, contractual, or other important decisions. Review the original content and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
You are responsible for content you enter, your use and disclosure of results, and the security of your device. Consider whether entering confidential or personal information is necessary, and maintain your own backups of important history and information.
You must not violate law or public policy; infringe third-party rights; use the app for crime, harassment, or discrimination; gain unauthorized access; probe vulnerabilities; reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the app; circumvent payment, entitlements, or usage restrictions; impose excessive load; or engage in conduct the Developer reasonably determines to be improper.
The Free plan may be subject to feature, history, or usage limits. Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that provides access to the eligible features described in the app at the time of purchase. Design or hardware limits, including limits on Dynamic Island history, may apply even to Pro users.
Payment is processed by the App Store using the payment method associated with your Apple Account. Eligible purchases may be restored using the same Apple Account. Processing, Family Sharing eligibility, cancellation, and refunds are governed by Apple's terms and procedures. The Developer cannot independently modify your payment details or issue an App Store refund.
If you violate these Terms, the Developer may suspend or terminate all or part of your license or support without prior notice, taking into account the seriousness and urgency of the violation. This does not prevent the Developer from seeking compensation for resulting loss.
The Developer may change the app, conditions of use, or supported environment, or suspend or discontinue all or part of the app, due to product improvement, business decisions, legal compliance, maintenance, incidents, security needs, or changes to Apple or other external services. Notice will be provided on this page or in the app where reasonably practicable.
The app is provided as is. The Developer makes no express or implied warranty concerning accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, continuous availability, operation on every device, language, or region, retention of data, or non-infringement. This does not exclude warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Except in cases of the Developer's willful misconduct or gross negligence, or where limitation is prohibited by law, the Developer is liable only for actual, ordinary, and direct loss arising from the app. Aggregate liability will not exceed the total amount you actually paid for the app. The Developer is not liable for lost profits, indirect or special loss, or loss of data.
The Developer may change these Terms where the change benefits users generally, or where the need for and reasonableness of the change justify it. The effective date and details will be announced in advance on this page or in the app. To the extent permitted by law, continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. To the extent permitted by law, the Tokyo District Court or Tokyo Summary Court will have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over disputes relating to the app.

Please include your device model, OS version, app version, the action that caused the issue, and any displayed message. Do not send confidential translation content, unnecessary personal information, your Apple Account password, or payment card information.
If Pro is not active, confirm that you are signed in with the Apple Account used for the purchase, then use Restore Purchases in the app. Your purchase history can be checked directly in the App Store.
